Do you find it hard to share your work?
Yes, it’s always tough to put your work out there and to read less-than-favorable reviews. I was really nervous about putting Negotiation Tactics out there because parts of it were a little heavier than my precious books I was worried about the way readers would take it, but I sent it out to some of my fans that I had connected with online. They were worried they’d have to tell me it wasn’t any good, but they came back with rave reviews. IT was a huge relief!
Is your family supportive? Do your friends support you?
Yes! Both my family and friends have been wonderful. I have a number of friends who read beta drafts for me and brainstorm all of the kinks out of my plots when I need them to. It’s been a huge help.
Do you plan to publish more books?
Yes! I hope to write many more books and have a huge number of series going eventually. I’ve got ideas for several new things that I’m working on and I have one proposal in to an editor right now.
Why do you write?
I began writing last year because I just had so many story ideas in my head trying to get out. It was almost as if I couldn’t not write. I think my head would have exploded. And, when I told a friend that I was thinking of writing a book, she said, “well, of course you are,” as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. I guess she knew something I didn’t.
Have you always enjoyed writing?
No. I never gave much thought to it before last year. My sister is a writer but I hadn’t thought about writing until I began to read a ton of romance novels and then ideas just began to hit me.
What motivates you to write?
Well, at first, it was just something I wanted to do to see what would happen. Now, it’s my fans. I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to get an email or a Facebook post from a fan or read a review from a reader and know people like my work. It’s the most amazing feeling and it makes me want to get you more books!
What writing are you most proud of? (Add a link if you like)
This book. I think my writing has been getting better and better. I think Negotiation Tactics is without a doubt my best book yet.
